I so enjoyed the first and second episodes! As a creative myself it gave me lots to consider, but also with my son just having graduated from art school, I’m passing it on to him and his friends. Really authentic and raw… thank you for a thoughtful perspective. Artie is lucky to have you to lead him through this beautiful world… ♥️
As a new mom and creative in the motion design world, I really felt this episode. I’ve switched from architecture to illustration to motion design—and I’m exhausted. On top of that, I’m still figuring out motherhood, dealing with postpartum depression, and just moved to a new country with no friends or family. This podcast felt like a breath of fresh air and made me feel a little less alone. Thank you! Can't wait to listen more ❤
Nurul, thank you so much for listening. I feel like we are in a very similar place in our lives! It's very tough when you're a new mom in a new place with nothing familiar around you. On top of how crazy the world is right now! I hope you are doing okay and I hope the podcast helps you feel less alone <3
This was a phenomenal first episode. Not sure where it's headed, but very intrigued. I’m not an artist, but the message here is relevant to a lot of people, including myself. I'm leaving a job environment where few people are happy, in order to find something that fits my personality more. There are calculated risks that should be taken (I might even prefer to say “tested”), but being bogged down in debt, or worrying about the opinions of others for taking a particular career path, keeps people from trying something new. Good work, Sarah!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad to hear it resonates with people outside of the creative industry too. That was always a question I had - if people would like it if they weren't artists. So thank you for sharing :) I hope you are doing well!
I can’t love this episode more—so beautifully produced, the insights so vulnerable and relatable, and “commercials” so hilariously written. I’m in a constant career crisis and I wonder about next steps every minute of the day—there are days when I’d like to bag my creative job forever…but then I remember that my bills are due and will be due every month until I die. Thank you for making me feel less alone.
I only meant to listen for a few minutes as it was early Morning in the UK, but I ended up finishing the whole entire episode. I was completely hooked!!! Such a fresh and engaging take on the topic. I absolutely loved it. It really makes you think.
I'm in the middle of a career crisis. I don't know what my next step should be, but it's hard because I feel that my "real" career in this industry hasn't even started yet. I've been stuck in jobs that are kind of okay, but never been able to land that awesome life-changing position as a motion designer or illustrator (I don't know if that actually happens, but social media makes us think that way). Plus, being over 30yo feels weird cause I think I wasted my 20s hahaha. It was so good listening to you and other artists having their battles, seeing that my struggles are common in this industry, I feel less lonely. Looking forward to hearing the next episodes!
Hi Alex! Ugh, being in a career crisis is rough. I feel you! I definitely think social media is a big factor in making us feel "less than" - you don't necessarily need a big break to make it in this industry, either. I hope that by listening to this you gain some more insight, too. Ironically, the next episode is relevant to this sentiment, too!
Wonderful episode. What a great idea to showcase two animation artists going in opposite directions in their careers. Told with humour and insight. Thanks for making this!

Thank you so much for listening <3 It's cool to hear from another parent, too. You're too kind!
I loved this episode and can’t wait to hear more.
Tysm!
